Car VOCs main detection methods and inspection standards inventory

At present, there are no national standards and regulations for the air quality of motor vehicles in China, Europe, the United States, and the United states. However, some data show that the major foreign automobile companies for the control of air quality inside the car, mainly through the control of supporting parts to achieve.
For automotive VOCs content testing, mainly from the vehicle VOCs, assembly (vehicle parts), VOCs and materials VOCs. The following test methods will be described separately.

 

1 、 test method of vehicle VOCs content:
Different car test standard different, including the German PV3938 standard, Japanese car "VOCs" test method, the Russian GOSTR51206-2004 standard and domestic "determination of volatile organic compounds and aldehydes and ketones sampling test method" HJ/T400-2007 test standard, specific test conditions are as follows:
PV3938 test: test conditions: 23oC, 50%RH; test method: static testing; sampling methods: using infrared light irradiation at different parts of the car so that the surface temperature of 65oC, closed after a certain period of time the air samples collected in the car.
"Test method" VOCs car: test conditions: 23oC, 50%RH; test method: semi dynamic test; adjust the temperature to maintain 4.5H 40oC, after the use of DNPH sampling tube air formaldehyde determination 30min acquisition car; after sampling start the car engine, the air conditioning work, determination of VOCs.
GOSTR51206-2004: Standard Test conditions: 23oC, 50%RH; test method: dynamic test; model: 50 km / hour speed speed, stable running speed 20 minutes after testing; mode two: idle 20 minutes after the test with the minimum stable speed manufacturer specified.
HJ/T400-2007 test standard: the State Environmental Protection Administration was issued in December 7, 2007 and implemented in March 1, 2008. Standard sampling point measurement of vehicle passenger compartment of volatile organic compounds and carbonyl compounds in the setting, sampling requirements, environmental conditions sampling methods and equipment, the corresponding measurement methods and equipment, data processing, quality assurance etc..

1, our country automobile VOCs inspection related standard process
At present, the direct standard of VOCs in China has only two, namely HJ/T400 "determination of volatile organic compounds and determination of aldehydes and ketones sampling and" GB/T27630 "by car air quality assessment guidelines".

HJ/T400 provides the M class and N class vehicles (passenger) (cargo) vehicle interior volatile organic compounds and aldehydes and ketones sampling and determination methods, but the standard is only applicable to stationary vehicles, constant temperature and humidity conditions of car air sampling, did not involve sampling the running state of the vehicle pollutants inside the car but, not to air pollutants inside the car indicators and limit provisions.
GB/T27630 specifies the concentration requirements of benzene, toluene, xylene, ethylbenzene, styrene, formaldehyde, acetaldehyde and acrolein in the air, and gives the limits of VOCs pollutants in the vehicle. 2, our country automobile VOCs test correlation standard development suggestion
By drawing on the advanced experience of the relevant standards of VOCs inspection in foreign auto industry, we will have a better understanding of the current situation of VOCs in China's automobile industry, study and perfect the relevant standards of automobile VOCs inspection in China, and put forward suggestions and measures for improvement:
1) although China has introduced HJ/T400-2007 and GB/T27630-2011, but for VOCs pollutants inside the car, the state did not according to the two standards of air pollution in the new factory and sales in vehicle control, which bring risks to the consumer's health and human environment. Therefore, our country should define the responsibility of the parties to the automobile industry chain and the supervision and management measures, supervision of the automotive industry, improve the mechanism of information disclosure of the car, so that consumers understand the level of each volatile car, when the time is ripe, it is necessary to enforce the two standards.
2) foreign VOCs testing management experience, combined with China's automobile harmful volatile situation, the automobile industry standard parts and materials VOCs method in our country, reduce the spare parts, material suppliers and cost pressures, the whole industry chain guide parts and materials enterprises to carry out a unified management based on volatile harmful substances.
3) "guide" only specify requirements for VOCs car, in order to effectively control a large number of VOCs automotive production, the protection of the atmospheric environment, it is necessary to establish automobile harmful volatile prevention and control management system, promote the supervision and management measures and the VOCs control technology.
4) with the country about the limits and measurement methods for standard vehicle air pollutant concentration and detection methods gradually promulgated and implemented, I hope the relevant departments to formulate the quality of the raw materials for the interior control environmental protection standard, limiting the VOCs emission value from the automobile industry chain source parts and materials.
5) the standard method of automobile VOCs detection in the current sampling procedures for complex, expensive equipment, high testing cost, so there is an urgent need to strengthen the research on the test method and the simplified VOCs (simple monitoring equipment), reduce the cost of the industrial chain, so that the detection method is faster and more accurate, common for China's automobile industry contribute to the healthy and rapid development.
